How to setup! Easy planted Betta aquarium.

The Betta needs a name! I really can't think of a good one, so drop in the comments what he should be called.

After the success of the shopping list video I thought I would show you a super simple Betta setup that any beginner fishkeeper can achieve.

For anyone interested in the aquarium it is an Interpet Aqua Cube 28 litre. It suited this build perfectly being simple to set up and not expensive to buy.

I set this up in one afternoon with very easy to obtain items. The Betta fish was added after the filter and heater had been running for around 7-9 days, I added Tap Water Safe and Filter Start to make the aquarium safe.

Always remember to test your water as often as you can, do small, regular water changes and feed sparingly until your tank is fully mature.

I found with the gel glue if you put some gel glue to the rock then put the plant on after that as u hold it in place if u spray it with water it sets the gel glue with in 2 to 2 seconds great video matt 😊

i know im glad i got a 10 gallon for my betta when i got him. he was very active in the pet store swimming laps in his cup. during the day hes not zipping around but hes constantly swimming around exploring . more plants and hard scape i feel make the fish more fun to watch exploring their surroudings

This has came at a good time as I now have a spare 60 liter tank and was thinking of setting it up for a Betta so what the Betta wants the Betta gets.

Thanks for the video Matt. I really enjoy watching MD's builds, but as a complete newbie I wouldn't feel comfortable trying them myself - they are the kind of thing you need to build up to I feel. I really like your tutorial videos, they work for the first timers and they work for those who been into aquariums a long time! For the longtimers there might be just for inspiration, but there are some things, at least for me, that are newfound knowledge! I myself have never found Bettas all that likable, I´m more of a tetra man myself, but no matter the fish it is allways fun (and good) to see a new setup!
