For Beginners who aren't used to scaping with rocks. Try to decide on how to fix the rock formation in a box or cardboard outside the tank, take a picture so you know how it should be. And now place it inside the tank with the reference.

As a newby I appreciate those little tid bits like finding out java fern doesn't like being planted in substrate !

This video couldn't have come at a better time for me! I bought a 10gal tank too and want to make sure I'm making the right decisions for a good environment for plants and fish/shrimp.

Beautiful scape!

Personally I think a nice colony of bright red cherry shrimp would be a perfect fit for it ❤
For livebearers, I’d say endlers, maybe endlers and cherry shrimp. Makes for a nice combo and some potential breeding!

(One thing I feel the need to mention is that even smaller fish like neon tetras for example generally need plenty of space to move around and to be kept on large groups, so I personally like to keep/suggest only fish species that grow to an inch or less in size for a 10 gallon, with the exception of bettas of course)

I love spongefilters.. but it's a real eyesore in a scaped aquarium.. 😳

Platys for sure would look amazing here. And there's a lot of hiding spaces for new fry not just in the plants but the nooks in between the rocks too.

Perfect. Simple, direct, and clear. Good job! Also, I think the forktail blue-eyed rainbow fish would be cool in there. I've never kept them but I'd like to.

Thank you for this timely video! I’ve got my 10 gallon tank, bought the same activ-flora substrate bag and am in prep mode to get the planted setup started soon. I’m always worried that I’m doing everything right so this precise step-by-step video was EXACTLY what I needed for confidence.

🎉🎉❤❤ what a beautiful scenic and calm video .. loved it. I would love to see a groups of white cloud mountain minnows in this setup along with few corys . The reason of this selection is simply because white cloud minnows are hardy and will look stunning in this tank. They will not require heater as well.

Looks nice. I love chili rasbora or CPD’s. I think a big school of either of these would look good.

This video is almost ASMR-esque. I love it. ❤️ also good job showing how to set up the sponge filter. I'm a bit embarrassed to say it took me a minute to figure out how to add the air stone and set up my 1st sponge filter. 😊

If you take the first section of this video. The exact same set of rocks.... You can set-up an island style hard scape, iwagumi, V shaped, triangle shaped, etc.

It would be really cool for people to see all the different layouts and that you can do it with the same materials!
