Watch some interesting coronal loop formations of sunspot group AR1520, before and after the M7.7 flare which occurs at 0:53, and another interesting plume at 1:26.

The clip is a time lapse video over four days (2012/07/17-2012/07/20, approx. one hour per second (3750x)).
I created composite images of several channels of the AIA instrument on board the Solar Dynamics Observatory:
- red: 304 Å (prominences and chromosphere)
- green: 171 Å (mostly magnetic flux lines)
- blue: 211 Å (mostly corona)
The inlay in the lower left shows the colorized 304 wavelength. The inlay in the upper right is another false-color RGB composite, using the three wavelengths 211, 335, and 94, depicting corona temperatures around 6.5 million Kelvin.

Courtesy of NASA/SDO and the AIA, EVE, and HMI science teams.
Thank you very much for providing all the data!
