Hi. thank you for this. Highly informative, and funny as well. In RSA, we have a saying : Its the thin sticks (i.e. models) that starts the fire, but the big stumps (ones that can cook etc) that keeps the fire (marriage) burning. therefore, I will choose 9x9 Esker Fox. Thank you for this, enjoyed it very much. Very informative. Keep safe. Amelia RSA

Very creative tent review. "Is that a tent peg in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?" she says.

Go tents, lot of options and back to the woods ! Can’t go wrong! Praying for you and your precious family as always! Making memories and teaching folks what works! You have an awesome job!!

Too true! I am just a single person, in my late 50s and although I am still able to shelter in place for another year or two (living in suburban Australia), if I ever DO need to bug out, living in an uninsulated vehicle when it is 4OC or -10C outside isn't going to cut it. I have a cheap, plastic K-Mart tent, which will blow away if anyone farts in it, so I am saving up to buy a small, heavy duty, hot tent and a stove to go in it.

Love Nortent, before named Helsport. Have two tents, one from around 1997 and one from around 2003. Used both alot. Super ligth weigth and super durable... Peace and respect from Northern Norway!

the US military one man combat tent. i have used in 70mph plus winds and have had 12inches of snow in the morning. need a heat source when cold, but it can not be beat. the rain fly is 100% blackout, and can not be picked up on inferred. i have slept in till 10am in this tent and thought it was still dark outside. bathtub floor, i have had 2 inches of water on the outside all around me and the inside was still dry. i believe 6.5lbs but very worth it if you are going on that adventure it may be needed. for the Apocalypse i would use my US military command tent. can sleep about 12 easy and have a potbelly stove. have used in -25f and it was a warm 70f inside

I enjoy your channel but was surprised you didn't include the Arctic Oven; it's our go to here in Alaska and the best hot tent I've ever used. It's got a layer of vapex on the inside, so it nicely vents condensation and also insulates. It's heavy but bombproof and what a lot of Antarctic expeditions use. I've camped in at -50 and it's lovely. I haven't used most of the tents you previewed but none of them look like they have any insulation.

*Since you failed to have a category "Dependability" I suggest we include that trait in the "Durability" section, because that inflatable one can collapse during the middle of the night and THAT's a deal breaker.*

I built a 15ft Cheyenne tipi .
Though it's a bit much to move .haveing 17, 20ft poles.
But you don't need a stove, you can build a fire pit inside .
It's the ultimate servival tent .
