Does no one understand this video is just a joke?
On my way to the city in St. Louis to get parts at a dealer on the way back home, the turbo blew and a couple of injectors went out all at the same time and had to limp it back home when this video was taken. She barely made it up hills. She has since then gotten all new injectors, glow plugs in a new turbo and has power again. She has almost 400k miles
Too many Ford guys getting their panties in a wedgie.

334k miles and you just now realize that pedal isn't the accelerator. It's just a pedal that makes it louder and makes the fuel gauge move.

I drive one with half a million miles on it. Of all the newer trucks we have, she’s still the most reliable. Won’t get you there fast, but you’ll get there

"this Ford 7.3 goes from 0-60 in about 3 business days"

Dinosaurs... big, slow, but reliable and tough as hell. Love these trucks

Hey, it's faster than the humvees we had in the army. We timed it once, and it took 40 seconds to get to 60. This wasn't even an armored one. 😂

The cool part is, if you were towing a trailer it would accelerate just as quickly.

You forgot to mention in the video that you are towing a 2-story house behind it. Because that beast won't stop . Love the 7.3

They're not the fastest trucks on the road, but they get the job done!

Can’t expect a vehicle that will never die to accelerate fast 👍

I had a 2002 7.3 for years. I sold it with 304, 000 on it. Never once plugged it in, never burned oil, just fired up every morning and was ready to go. I’ve since sold it and bought a 6.7 Powerstroke.

7.3s are one of my favorite slow vehicles they're so fun

Honestly, a set of bellowed up pipes and a fresh set of injectors would make a huge difference. They’re always leakier than a SOB

A friend of mine had one with over 600, 000 miles. No injector work, nothing but brakes and fixing leaks and tires. Great engine. I bought a 6.0 and had nothing but problems till getting it bullet proofed.

Love the early 7.3's.
We had the original naturally aspirated 7.3 diesels and 7.5 gas engines in several of our work trucks and fire apparatus. Very dependable engines but the nat aspirated diesel just took a long time to wind up. The early turbo 7.3 was a game changer.
A shop that we took our company trucks to had a shop that KNEW diesel.
They rebuilt several of our pumps and service trucks and regular transport trucks could pull. We ran our service trucks over gross most of the time.

Had a fella at the gas pump next to me look at my dually with a 7.3 and asked what kind of mileage I got. He was putting gas in a very small economy car. I told him usually 15 to 18 miles to the gallon. He said he just couldn't understand why someone would drive something like that. I asked him if he could tow 20, 000 lbs. He smiled and said "I see your point "

I just turned 350000 miles on mine. And I'm as happy as I can be with how it runs. I have to replace the gas pedal tomorrow but other than that, it's great.
