Thank you for this! It took me a half a dozen tries. I had the key fobs with buttons facing forward first, then I turned them around with the buttons facing the back of the car, did it quickly, and that worked. Not sure if that was the difference but it just popped up.

Just tried like 20 times and can’t get it to work on my 2021 Explorer ST. I tried putting the key fob in the slot in every direction possible and nothing. What are you pressing to “clear the screen” right before it pops up? You hit the OK button on the steering wheel?
