This is the best gun to get when you first start the game. 44. Ammo can be bought from most merchants.

If you need ammo for the .44 there is a trader south of diamond city who lives in a trailer. She has plenty of .44 ammo provided you have the caps. [Unmarked location]

It's funny. I'm not going to lie, but here I was in the very beginning, super excited to try out ALL the weapons of Fallout 4, but you know what? Pistols? Even the same 10mm, that I got at the beginning of the game-

Fully upgraded with the right perks you can get almost 200 as your base dmg with this type of gun.

It's available early but no one sells 44 ammo til level 20 aha. I played for days before getting a decent amount of ammo

Just when I thought I knew everything, never new this was close by! It's a great revolver no doubt, but the the western revolver introduced in Nuka World dishes out some serious damage, especially if you fully upgrade the pistol perk

That's so crazy that I found the circuit breaker on my own and turned it off and followed the conduit up the hill and I'm pretty sure that's where I found my .44 and I also found the chems on the top but I don't remember the side panel at all...I'm pretty sure I missed those caps stashes. But I would have to disagree on the .44 being the best pistol early on but only on a technicality. The technicality is that ammo is very sparse...I only have like 60 some bullets with it at level 23 and I haven't even fired a shot. And its expensive to buy too and early on you don't have a lot of caps. So yeah its great but almost unusable.

The best gun in the game is the pipe pistol.

I still Like the laser "sniper" pistol better. Find a laser pistol and drop a sniper barrel on it. (conversely, if you get the laser sniper rifle, put on a pistol grip and watch the damage increase)

.44 ammo is really hard to find in the vanilla game though. Also, Kellogg's Pistol is just like this one, but has a legendary effect. It's one of my favourite weapons, just because it's so badass.

this helpful during the beginning and if I may suggest that you do a video on the different weapons that you can find and how to get mods for guns but other wise thank you for the videos keep up the good work
