I have never enjoyed a vehicle more I love my Jeep Gladiator for some crazy reason it feels so good. When they 1st came out I thought they were the ugliest vehicles on the road.LOL

As usual I’m going to say the Gladiator isn’t significantly more expensive than a comparably equipped Tacoma. 18 months ago there was at best a couple thousand dollars difference between a Mojave and a Tacoma TRD-PRO. This was before chip shortage dealer was willing to work on the price of the Mojave the Toyota dealer wasn’t coming off the TRD-PRO. Used to be you could add $5-6K on a Tacoma to get 4 wheel drive, all Gladiators have 4 wheel drive. As Tony Montgomery said “…it’s worth it.” You are getting a solid truck with decent capabilities.

I took money out of my 401k to use as a down payment, but within a week, stocks fell, while the value of my newly acquired Mojave went up. The kbb said I could trade it in (Trade it in!) For 6k more than I bought it for! Didn't seem so over valued after that! Retirement, I beat the odds! But I'm not giving away my Mojave. It really is for my retirement. I'll have it all paid off and modded out by then and I'm going places to which the pavement won't hold me hostage.

I got a 2020 Jeep gladiator sports from the dealership about 45 days ago.. it was about 10 grand cheaper than my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.. And to be honest I like my JT more..

Well, you kind of elude to it, but basically it's a one of a kind. Nobody else (in the US) makes a vehicle with the unique combination of features.
Toyota makes those Land Cruisers with similar features, but they are bare bones and not sold here.
I have heard that Ford was going to truckify the Bronco, but I'll believe it when I see it! Not sure why the would, it would just bury the Ranger!
I'd put off buying a Wrangler for many, many years due to the cost and the gas mileage. But, I've been waiting for the Gladiator since the first show car came out 10(?) years ago.
I always knew I would get one and I love it! 💘

I agree. I think it can be said that being a convertible truck can make expensive too. The only convertible truck on the market. I was curious the other day. I spec out my exact Gladiator on the Jeep website. I ordered my JT in Aug. of 2020. It would be $2000 more than what I paid for my custom ordered Overland Gladiator. The Overland model was a little over $40, 000. Now it is over $41, 000. They raise the price of the led light package. My color matching roof is almost $2600. $200 more. It is just super crazy to think of this stuff costing like this. I got my Gladiator at the right time. I still am loving it. It has 13, 400 miles now. Can’t wait for spring in Ohio. 😁

Aloha and good evening Rob 🙏 ✨ ☺ 😊. The JEEP Gladiator in Hawaii is very expensive, but Stellantis is making progress towards improving the reliability issues. Plus, Stellantis Jeep are marking up the Gladiator by 2, 000 to 3, 000 dollars. On the US Mainland, the Sport trim is something like $33K while in Hawaii, it is a about $36K for the Sport trim. I do concur with your assessments in this video, but the Gladiator is surely becoming a sales force in the midsize truck market. Plus, the Gladiator will surpass the Tacoma as you stated from your earlier video due to the uncertainty on the redesign Tacoma the consumers are thinking about. 🤔 This is a great video Rob 📹 👏 👌 👍 🙌 😀.

When they hold the value like they do, it is worth spending the money up front. I just picked up a 2022 Mojave last week for $3k under sticker. Dealership gave me $5k over what I paid for my 2018 JLU with 29k miles on it that I bought used just under a year ago. Deals are still out there to be had.

As I mentioned I do have a fairly new Gladiator (I now have 650 miles on it) I must say it was an impulse purchase. As it happened I stopped by the Chrysler Dealer where I happened to know the sales man, he had worked for me for a short time in the Air Force and I started looking at a Gladiator, just for fun. Then I asked a few questions about the car, I had always liked Jeeps but could never afford one but now as circumstances prevailed, I actually could afford a a new jeep. I was a bit unhappy with my Chrysler Pacifica and was looking for something different. As it happened I was very impressed with a Gladiator on the dealers lot and the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. So, finally I just decided to buy it. I put $15, 000 down from my checking account and took the balance out of my 401K and paid it off. Now to date I have not been disappointed although the longer I have it there are several items I wish I would have gotten but that's what happens when you take a vehicle off the lot !!!

Talking about price, I had in my family a 1947 Willys CJ2A bought new, with a hydraulic hitch and power take off option all for $600.00. How times have changed!

I agree with your assumption, I have a new Gladiator Rubicon with just 500 miles on it. Yes it was a bit expensive at $ 56K but I still think it was worth it though, I'm in North Dakota and due to multiple blizzards, like eleven in a row, I have not had much time to drive "Off Road" yet but in a few months it is coming !!!!
