BMW Coding NCS Expert VO/FA production date manipulation 0307

If you have retrofitted a newer module into your e9x, in this case an FRM2, this video shows you how to manipulate the VO production date so the new module can be coded in NCSExpert.

After replacing my active steering module. I changed the vin to my cars vin using inpa and winkfp. Despite this I still got an error code saying that the vin identification for the active steering didn't match. After following this video to change the vo, the error code went away. Honestly, I'm not sure exactly what was done, but after trying different things for two weeks I am happy to say that this was the clear answer to my problem. Thank you Alvin for this video!

Hey, hope I will get an answer soon. Bmw E60 2005 535d. I've removed the ccc system which came with the car and bought mask2 unit. I've successfully wrote $606(nav bussiness) And deleted $609(nav professional) in my vo, did that in CAS and LMA modules, changed the build date in vo to #0307/#0308 and so on but I can't see mask2 in ncs expert listed, I've only managed to see cic system listed when the build date was set to #0809. I do see the mask unit in inpa. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Hey i have an E65 2002 if i manipulate the Production Date to a newer one. Will my Modules give me more functions?! Or do u know if i update a Module i mean can i flash my LM1 Module to a LM2? ;D i want more functions!!! Like Welcome Light or something else. I coded myself a new Battery in and i unlocked some Features like Trunk closing with my Key or i coded my Softclose locks.

Hello avin, so for example i have an e46 2002 and if i wan;t to retrofit a newer LSZ module (light module) like a 2005 model for to be able to use BFD option, i have to change the VO from the newer LSZ module with the VO from my original LSZ module ? and allso change the production date to the newer lsz module ? thanx

can it be done with expert profile (the one without manipulation) ? i had trouble changing date and i was always doing it with expert profile, maybe this was the reason?

On this vehicle, FA Code is only stored on one module? I ask because you did not write the new FA string to any other modules?

I am from Australia and I have an Australian BMW E92 M3 2008 model with old Australian CCC iDrive and would like to swap it with a new Australian CIC iDrive system.

Would you be able to code it to my car's VIN# so all features including navigation, MDrive, BMW Services/Internet, Office, bluetooth audio streaming...etc. are unlocked and working fine?

Pretty sure 90% of people didn't understand what u are doing in this video. Ones who do understand are the ones who already know coding. There's no point of making video when u are only half explaining whats going on. Just a suggestion, u would get far more viewer interaction if u explain step by step whats going on instead of just rushing through everything.
But still i guess better than nothing so thanks anyway.
