Is the NEW 2022 Subaru Forester Wilderness a better SUV than a RAV4 TRD?

The NEW updated Forester is here for 2022 and on top of that Subaru brought a special off road Wilderness Edition. The Forester being a compact SUV puts it up against the Toyota RAV4 TRD. On the outside you will discover a special color called Geyser Blue, 17in wheels with rugged off road tires, unique roof rails and body cladding. On the inside there is an 8in infotainment system, gold accents, and plenty of passenger room. Under the hood is a 2.5L flat-4 that produces 182HP & is mated to a revised CVT. I like this review Joe!! I have been a Forester owner since 2018 and was waiting for the Wilderness to come on the market for 2022 to make the leap for a great off road vehicle. The chip shortage has been a problem for every car maker and has created a lot of issues for buyers but it also gives us the chance to do research on the best vehicles out there. First time viewer. Excellent video. I’m adding this Forester to the vehicles to consider. I currently drive a ‘99 Tahoe. Tahoe is extremely comfortable and only has 145k but I want a smaller vehicle. Looks like the overall visibility in the rear portion of the Forester is very good something that is lacking in many of the smaller SUVs and crossovers. Also looks like it’s very comfortable. Thank you!

I've had my 22 Forester Wilderness for two months now, first time Subaru owner. The ride is exceptional, takes our rough and pothole roads better than any other car I've had. Best safety features ever, love the rear collision avoidance and warning system. Pickup is great because of the 411 rear end but highway passing is a little less so, and so far city mileage is only 22mpg.

This is the rugged mom car I’ve wanted! It’s perfect for around town but will take us to those remote campsites and tow our bikes and jet ski. Just can’t beat the safety and longevity of a Subaru.

Nice review Joe as always . Ive got a 2021 crosstrek sport and they are great in the snow but this one has 10 inches of ground clearance even better .

The towing capacity is up to 3000 lbs thanks to a transmission oil cooler. But MPG is down to 25/28 because of the added lift 9.2 inches, not 10).
