I love that it seems like they are doing a good job toeing the line between new players and existing fans. I think this game will definitely have throwbacks the way Inquisition did, but I think like every DA game it will be it's own thing and I am really excited about it!
Also excited for all the Easter eggs long time players will find.

Learning about the world through Rook is exactly why I want my first play to be a Mournwatch. It’s such a fresh perspective coming into to the world. Where we have been SO accustomed to the default mindsets of Wardens, Circle Mages, Dalish, dwarfs and so on. Especially as a long time fan.

Romanced Fenris might though depending on what happened to Hawke in inquisition who knows 😅 I could see him cutting through to Solas to get revenge if he thinks Solas is the reason why Hawke is gone

The new demon design feels more like they are the Spirits they are supposed to be instead of the solid flesh and blood appearance they had in the other games. And it works for the setting being in a place where magic isn't constrained by Circles and Templars.

I don’t know why, but Lords of Fortune is *really* calling to me.

I like the redesign of the rage demons. I don’t love the redesign of the pride demons. The shades are an improvement…I didn’t even realize they were the same thing.

Well, good news is Avowed was just anounced to be pushed back until Feb 2025 because of how busy the release schedule is between now and Christmas. So it won't be conpetion fir GotY

I not a hater but i am cautious after ME Andromeda and Anthem but i hope its good.

I really hope the inquisition are still active in Veilguard. My inquisitor won't quit.

I didn’t realize the hounds or whatever they are at the beginning are an old demon (the fire one we have seen before. Won’t feel the same

I thought the demon redesign, in general, felt more flashier and less scary than in previous DAs, where they felt really dim and grim to me. But tbh, I don't mind. I'm a scaredy cat, so I can deal with less scary demons. I mean, Withers in BG3 scared me in the beginning ffs 🙄so I'm not a good baseline.

Varric does not look like Varric. Demon designs i'd say they don't look scary enuf. Most creatures we saw looked wacky.
