What Were The Most Used Commercial Aircraft Types In 2022?

Globally there were nearly 31 million flights in 2022, according to Cirium data. Splitting it over the entire year, this equates to 84,931 flights daily, 3,538 per hour, 59 per minute, and one each second. While annual flights were down by 19% over 2019, the mind boggles at how much activity that is. But what were the top 10 most used aircraft? Let’s take a look in today’s video!

Airbus A320ceo and Boeing 737-800 are the main aircraft characters in 2022. I flew both Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 as a passenger like plenty of times starting for the first time i think in 2008 onboard a Boeing 737-300 to the last time before covid in 2018 onboard an Airbus A320ceo. Hopefully, this year i will get chance to fly onboard an airplane again

Any data on the number of passengers carried by each aircraft type? For example, the A320neo had approximately 80k less flights than the ATR-72; but it can easily carry double the number of passengers.

Living on Stansted's downwind leg it's almost exclusively 737s and A320s. Anything else is a bonus.

Happy new year 2023..One request please make a video on most busiest airports in 2022..I never travelled in narrow bodies in 2022 and I was able to travel in 777-300 ER (2 times), A350-900 (3 times), B787 -8 (2 times), B787 -9 ( 3 times), 787-10 (1 time)

I've flown on southwest airlines Boeing 737-700 and Boeing 737-800 from Columbus Ohio to Orlando Florida in early 2021 2022 and a single flight on a Southwest Boeing 737-800 flight to Phoenix Arizona in the summer of 2021.

I flew the Airbus A320 Neo and Boeing 737 Max 8 last year. Both the aircraft are excellent, however, I like the AC vents of Airbus A320 more.

As a Miami resident, all my narrow aircraft flights out and back to Miami were on the 737 Max8. MIA-PTY; MÍA-LGA; MÍA-EWR; and MÍA-PUJ are just a few places served by AA and flown on such aircraft in 2022…not once I flew on an AB narrow plane as in the US, especially AA, do not operate as many when compared with Europe or Asia.
