The apology is never as loud as the accusations. The person accused is left with a stained reputation & suffered irreversible consequences.

I hate the episodes where good people and their reputations are ruined, even though the real bad guy goes to prison. It's not worth the win at those times.

I work in the psychology department. That thing about children always telling the truth is one big fat lie. You would not believe the number of kids out there with minds that gave me goosebumps.

I work with kids. I'm *so grateful* for the video surveillance in the classrooms.

the child actors in this were really good, which is ironic, considering the plot of the episode.

This is one of the most accurate portrayals of the vindictiveness that some people have that I have ever seen. It's sad that this kind of thing happens in real life.

Nah, hell nah. You have to apologize to me, with the same energy you accused me with. Have a news conference and tell the people, you made a huge mistake and give him an apology. Tell them you accused him, without doing a thorough investigation.

I hate this episode mostly because those two girls ruined an innocent man’s life.

Amanda was the only one who believed that the music teacher was innocent. They would have listened to her and investigated more before just focusing on him immediately as a suspect.

You can tell he wasn’t guilty because there is no way Billy Porter would have accepted this role if the character was guilty.

Falsely accusing someone should at least get you the same sentence as the falsely accused would have gotten

First sign something is off is when the 6 yr old says "he edged me." As a detective with keen 6th sense for detail, that would be the first red flag that the boy is repeating a story he doesn't understand. 2nd red flag. The bathroom is nice bc it has blue birds & flowers. The bathroom would not be associated with anything "nice" after that happens to him in that bathroom. In fact, he'd rather never go to that bathroom again. He'd prefer to hold until recess. Two red flags that would send me down a rabbit hole all week.

Question to lawyers: can’t he sue the girls’ parents? The DA might not want to put the 4 years olds on the stand but a monetary lawsuit could, right? And if parents don’t want the 4 years old on the stand, they can just agree to the terms of the lawsuit, right? Maybe losing most of their money would at least teach those girls a lesson.
And if the school won’t give him his job back, he can sue for that too, right? With some firm that does pro bono work?

This episode pissed me and my mom off. That the detectives were so easy to jump the gun. My mom also despised Benson in this episode by pushing and pushing. I agreed. The only part of this episode that could be called 'good' is Rollins didn’t believe the girls, but Jackie.

Those girls should've been held accountable.

“They’re damaged?” Lmao right? The lawyer guy pissed me off there, I forget his name rn

The cops barely investigated any leads. One of the kids wasn't getting his story straight. And the girls should've gotten a felony charge.

Notice how at the start of the episode he’s all normal and keeping his cool, saying things like “I did not do that!” “I like to teach kids music.”
At the end of the episode he becomes “get away from me!” “Oh they’re damaged? Okay..”

The only silver lining is the hope that Jackie sued the NYPD and got a big cash settlement. Olivia is too quick a lot of the time to believe an accusation as soon as it's made. If she says "it's my job to believe the victims, " someone should say "only after you've proven they're victims."

Yeah. False accusations destroy lives and the liars get, at most, a slap on the wrist. Our justice system is broken

Those girls are the perfect example of the dangers of the "self-esteem" movement. Telling people they are amazing at something their whole lives, when they really aren't, while giving them whatever they want just makes them vindictive and lash out when they are confronted with the truth or told no.
