Ok, since YamahaMotorUSA is following the comments, here's a question, if you have an answer: You've just made it very difficult for me to make a decision. I love this new bike. Really. But, I do an occasional multi-week ride. A top box is a huge help. Are you going to offer, as an option, either a disconnect kit for the top box on the Star Venture, or else an optional add-on top box for the Eluder?

Nice sleek styling and it comes with some great features stock so that's a plus. I was looking at a Street Glide the other day and I think this can compare.

They already muffed the rollout of the new Venture by taking deposits and promising an August 2017 delivery before pushing delivery to December or later due to unspecified "production delays".

Sweet Machine YamahaMotorUSA I think you all nailed it with this machine! Ive never owned a full dresser before, but this one sure is a nice option.

Went to Yamaha Demo Days in Mesa, AZ today. I was disappointed in the lack of coordination, effort, and poor attitude from the Yamaha employees. The Yamaha factory website stated the event started at 10am. I arrived at 9:15 to sign up and get a good place in line. The event had already started and I needed to wait while a couple of rides went before I could go. Oh well, that's not the end of the world. When it was my time to go I was told the ride was over booked and the bike I waited for wasn't available because the Yamaha tour leader wanted to ride it. They sent me back inside to reschedule. By that time way too many people had signed up and I would have to wait a couple hours for the bike I was told I could ride at my originally scheduled time. To which their reply was basiclly "oh well there's people in front of you now".

I hope you read this Yamaha, this kind of poorly run event and rude staff is what costs you customers. I was goig to demo then buy either an FJR or an Eluder in the near future. But after this event I wouldn't ride one of your bikes if you gave it to me.

I have worked for a year to get a 1985 XV700 Yamaha roadworthy. She is there now and fast as f_ck,

I do finally love this bike fast but could you give some care to your predecessors. Geez.

I like the Star Venture, but after seeing this, it's obvious that Yamaha is trying to keep up with F6b anyone? I'm glad that there's some competition starting in the Japanese touring bikes.... nice to have options...

Not a bad looking bike but unfortunately the cruiser market has been dying for years. We can barely give them away. Introduce the new Yamaha T7!!! That's a bike we can sell.

Nice looking bike but it's not my demographic. To be honest, air cooled Vtwins have zero appeal to me, especially in AZ. Neither does the belt drive. The Vtwin market has their fanboys that all hover around one company, let them have their costumes and store bought attitudes. I rode an F6B for three years and drove circles around any Vtwin. If I were going to buy a touring bike today I'd buy an FJR1300, and never look back.

Dear Yamaha You F"D up!
You decided with your infinite wisdom to make a Harley clone.
RATHER then take the engine from the bike you bombed on, from not listening to the Vmax owners at the time, you decided to make a mockery of the original.
Smaller fuel tank, 100 lbs heavier, 5 speed shaft drive, standard forks and 18" rubber? WTF !
You could have taken that engine, retuned and made a touring bike that's modern with the times!
BUT NOPE, you have to use an air-cooled engine, rubber band drive, and make thing!
Yep test rode one for laughs and that's all it's good for!
Good luck selling Yamaha and good luck on resale guys!!
