Reminder: don’t give people in the hospital any type of food if the doctors said so! This could lead to complications, even if you have the best intentions! If a patient is NPO(nothing by mouth), there is a reason for that. For example, if a surgery is scheduled and you ate before, there is a risk of throwing up under anesthesia and the vomit is aspirated into the lungs, and you can choke. The intentions were cute, but air on the side of caution and respect the rules, there are there for a reason and the majority of them were written in blood

First one sounds cute (the one with the grandfather and candy), but if someone is in the hospital and you're told not to give the patient candy/food, _don't give it to them._ There could very well be a medical reason. I've heard horror stories of people feeding hospitalized patients and it resulting in them having a bad reaction to a procedure, up to and including getting vomit in their lungs.

Whenever my older sister wants me to drive her to the grocery store she texts me “Wyd today?.” My response has now become “Do you want to go to market, ” in an old british peasant voice specifically.

My old roommate and I had a regular routine of going on "an adventure to McDonald's" the morning after going to karaoke every weekend. It was a 2block walk but something funny scary or strange managed to happen every time. Our coworkers started joining us for proof that our lives really were that dramatic and entertaining. Our neighborhood was just that odd.
