This program will prepare a student for an entry-level position as an electronics engineering technician. Technicians assist engineers in planning, research, development and design. The course work focuses on the skills needed for troubleshooting electronic equipment, performing operations, calculations, testing and reporting.

Graduates of this program shall articulate into an Electronics Engineering Technology baccalaureate degree in the designated university program under the provision of Rule 6A-10.024, Articulation between Universities, Community Colleges, and School Districts.

One thing to know about the field of study is that it’s challenging. It’s not unusual for only 1/3 of those who attempt EET to actually get the degree. For all the effort, the outcome isn’t that great. Unless your idea of partying it up is making $15/hr for testing and soldering. Unless a cynic’s quest is your bag of chips, you’d be better off getting into a different trade.
