I switched to Samsung in February, after 14 years in Apple’s phones . I’m not a tech professional and had a hard time learning about clouds, transfer and everything else. I missed videos teaching the step to step how to do it. But now, with my android, I’m really happy! Thank you for share your experiences!

Freedom of brand/device is the most interesting point.
I find it most ironic that in the USA freedom and rights are held so high but consumer choice and behaviour reflects the opposite in this tech space

So true. I recently changed from my IOS to Android, and I was afraid so much that I will not get used to it, it will not be safe. I don't see something in my everyday use that is not safe. I totally agree with you about these myths for the first time I can tell that I enjoy my device so much. I don't have any problems with it, on the contrary, I can say that my life is easier the way I use my phone right now.

3:50 android phones have quick share built-in, if you have a windows pc/laptop/device u can install quick share through the Microsoft store and then u can share files between your windows and android devices the same way as u do with airdrop, and because quick share is developed by the oems its more reliable that 3rd party workarounds

I have been using Google Pixel phones for the past many years. Absolutely love it. My favorite Android feature which iPhone doesn't have: 3 button navigation.

Wow, I was an iPhone user for years, basically married to the ecosystem. Finally decided to try the S24 Ultra and I am shook! This phone is incredible, the camera blows my old phone out of the water. Samsung really impressed me with this one, no going back now. Android for life!

People forget about the learning curve. When I switched over to iOS with the iPhone 11 series from the Note 9, I was frustrated and annoyed because I didn't know where Apple put stuff. I'd always used Android. It took a few months but I slowly became more comfortable and it got easier. The same is true in the reverse. I recently bought a Samsung for a 2nd phone, both to have an extra phone just in case, and to refesh myself on the changes to Android over the years. So I'm experiencing the frustrations all over! I'm used to Apple and now have to re-learn Android! I like them both. Strength and weaknesses in both as we are all aware.

Although I’m full Apple at the moment, I did want to add one security aspect. On Android you can always install encryption software for files etc. Sure you could use Apple’s Advanced Data Protection but you do not have control or options. This was one comment from a friend of mine in cybersecurity. I have to admit, as a fan I am now feeling trapped in this ecosystem.

After 7 years of using Samsung flagships only, I switched (back) to Iphone. Mainly because of camera problems, "we'll fix it with updates" lies and phones losing their value pretty fast (no trade in in my country). Zero regrets, the only thing I miss is split screen and that's about it. I kinda prefer simplicity and reliability over thousands of features but basic ones not working properly (late notifications, shutter lag/motion blur etc)

I use my Pixel with my Macbook no problems. (btw I've used Google phones since the Nexus days and whenever I've had an issue I just contact Google online and they either sort it out or they tell me to send it in and they either repair it or replace it for free. btw I've only had a couple of issues in the last 10 years. I've always found them helpful and quick and tbh I find it more convenient sending it than going to a repair shop.)

I just switched to ios recently and tbh the core basics are same but when you go a bit above that then you start to see the problem with it, tbh I just don't like how restricted it is like I can't even share my PDFs and file through usb all your folders don't show up on files the photos and videos are completely separated even while using third party messaging apps there is a extra step to save it on device and the files are contained in that specific app like its not centralised like in android

So true, man! Agree on everything what you said. I had the same expierence switching after having many iphones till iphone X, than switching to Note 20 and next Galaxies. Multitasking and many other features are just what still not utilyzed on iPhones.

Transferring your WhatsApp chats is easy. You first have to make sure your contacts are on the new device, then go into settings on your old device then go to chats and transfer chats...I believe it will give you a QR code to scan but make sure your number is already setup on the new phone.... A second way is to backup your chats to Google Drive
