Karate Yellow Belt Exam

Watched this for nostalgia 😢. Brings up some good and some bad memories (mostly good). Wish I had pursued karate further.

Why are they counting in English? We have always been counting in Japanese, it's part of a rule when doing Karate, I think. (I have yellow belt.)

I am on my first advanced belt which is Tan. I am over half way there to Blackbelt. I will be testing for my first Blackbelt, October when I am 14 years old. I am a few months away from turning 13😀

I failed my yellow belt test when I was 9 or 10. Not sure if it was a lack of preparation, nerves, not taking it seriously or just plain stupidity .Anyway I was so embarrassed and humiliated that I never went back to that school. In later years I was always pretty good in practice combat and exercises but would get stage fright for those fucking belt tests.

I am an orange belt(the 3rd belt). Also why weren’t the instructors wearing their uniforms??

I have my karate test in an hour and I’m kinda stressed because allot of people are going to be watching us and I really hope that i will pass and get my yellow belt well fingers crossed 🤞

I do shotokan my self, all u need is more bigger stace and more power, that whst i used to do and now il a blue belt keep it up❤❤

i skipped my yellow belt and went straight to green belt yesterday night at grading

That's why I have been training and training now I'm orange belt after my exam

In my dojo it’s starts as white(as normal) but then red and then yellow then orange .

I am almost a yellow belt and it takes courage and confidance and it is Good for you like i am a future black belt and it takes atleast 5 years.

My friend is a brown belt and in the years she’s been training her kata has never had a count in for each step lmao
