Sir! In "gift" g followed with "i". It means we must pronouce the the word as "jift". But we pronouce "gift" only. Could you please explain me.

Same e, i, y rule applies to sound of C ...it's soft in words with e, i, y eg.cycle unlike in Cap...right Sir??

In the paragraph u made, there's the word GIFT, so as per rule of /j/ sound of letter G, why should the word gift is spelled as hard /g/ sound even it's followed by letter 'i' ?! As in the case of tiger, trigger and some words too.... Explain me ?

Sir can you please help me to clear my doubt? You have said in the video that exaggerate work takes soft G sound, the same rule can be applied in trigger word too. I am confused, please solve my doubt.
