As a Queens gal with a heavy accent myself, who also used to work in an office in Lower Manhattan that was full of folks from Staten Island, I can declare with confidence, that Carisi's accent is 100% spot on.
Also, as someone who is 1/4 Italian, but was raised in a 100% Italian household, I get it, LOL.
Carisi is a trip...I love him!

Omg I love Carisi, he is kinda similar to Munch with out being a copy. Munch is my all time favourite, but when he left I was shattered. Bam here comes Carisi, they are so different but they just have the same vibe I love it.

Carisi's sister is the "every movie boxer's girlfriend/wife" character from SNL whose only spoken line is to threaten to take the kids to her sister's if he boxes in that upcoming fight. LOL

Dominick Carisi is another reason why I sometimes watch Law and Order SVU. He's just a cool dude and I hope there will be food scenes with Carisi in it since the actor Peter Scanavino has a culinary arts degree from the French Culinary Institute which is now named International Culinary Center. ☺☺☺

Carisi is the BEST! I loved him as a cop and now I might love him even more as an ADA. We've had the pleasure of watching him go from baby lawyer to ADA and he's really holding his own! He is so sweet, smart, funny, and hard-working. What's not to love? And Peter?! He is everything! I would be devastated if Peter/Carisi ever left the show.
