These are some effective counters at the right distances. Counter-attacking is a great way to score surprise points on an overconfident opponent.

Very hepful. Sometimes I'm not thinking "angles" and only reacting back or forward to my sparring partner. If I give them angles, it makes them have to think more.

Im from another country that doesn't even share language with yours, But I still watch all your videos, I think i've become addicted to them, they are so good, and I think you are literally the only TKD youtube channel that explains so professionally combat techniques (others tend to explain how to kick or how to do certain combo, But not something as deep as this).

Keep uploading those pls, im a big fan

Had my first experience sparring at a tournament. I first tried to dodge them which kept getting me kicked off the matt. My coach said to block so I started blocking which was great but I couldn't get any kicks in 😢😢 This video would have been super helpful!! Thank you. Ready to jump back in and practice these.

I'm going to show this to my 13yr old son that is a black belt on his 4th year practicing wich is pretty good but he likes for his opponents to attack while backing up waiting for the opening wich works good but in tournaments he only have so much room and be out the ring so the angle strategy should help him alot thanks for the vid and I gave you a like and subscribed.

Can you kick the lead leg in taekwondo? And if yes would this be a good option to slow them down?

I’m one belt off black belt in ITF taekwondo. When I spar in competitions I get a lot of people that come at me with multiple punches to the head and they are relentless with them. I fight fire with fire too but what would you recommend would help in this situation?

I like this video but what about facing an aggressive opponent in closed stance ? It seems more difficult to deal with.
Thank you for your videos !
