People want to 'celebrate' Australia Day

Sky News contributor Katherine Deves says the conversations about changing the date for Australia Day might not be “in line with community expectations”.

“When we see these councils deciding to honour the day, it's reflective of maybe what the people want,” Ms Deves told Sky News host Gary Hardgrave.

“It just goes to show that people want to celebrate.”
