FIS Windows Driver on mobile phone spotted NU63 RSY \w company response (In description)

What has been emailed to the company due to (This isn't naming and shaming it is just a matter of safety on the roads);

For whom it may concern,

Today whilst cycling along Landseer Road, I spotted (with my helmet camera) one of your drivers using their mobile phone whilst driving at speed along this road. Please find attached photo evidence of said incident also here is a link to my YouTube video highlighting this dangerous and illegal act ().

Their response;
Dear Sir

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. As a company we provide vans with Bluetooth connections and we expect our employees to use these devices as a matter of safety. On this occasion, and unbeknown to myself the Bluetooth is not working in the van, which is not an excuse, it is purely the circumstances. I have bookedthe van in to have this repaired on Monday which was the earliest date available.

We have already warned the driver that his actions are not acceptable, whether the Bluetooth was working or not, and he has asked me to pass on his apologies. As a company we take road safety very seriously along with Health and Safety in general. The actions of this employee are unusual and out of character, however he realizes that it is entirely his own fault for not bringing the issue of the bluetooth not working to my attention earlier, and then using his phone rather than stopping first.
