In this video I show you how how to connect the ring doorbell with the Amazon Echo so you can get the Echo to sound when someone presses the doorbell.

I will also show you how to use Alexa to talk to your ring doorbell and some of the different sounds you can use.

Fantastic and simple explaination. Perfect. I would add that you don't always need to 'discover' the Ring device. Once you connect the Ring device in 'skills' the front door or what ever will sometimes connect automatically. Just click on cameras and check it's there.

Can you use the original chime on Alexa. I can’t seem to find the option.

I have a daughter with extreme anxiety and Tourette’s. We have dogs. So between the dogs and the doorbell, it kicks in her ticks. I am looking for alternative doorbell options. We have Alexa. It be great if we could get Alexa to notify us when someone is at the door. Thanks!!

Got the doorbell and Alexa all linked up, even to the point we can talk via Alexa to the doorbell, however Alexa doesn’t work as a chime when the ring is pressed, despite the option ticked. Anyone got any ideas?
