Autism Extreme Stomach Pain

Autism isn't just about the mind. It effects the body as well -in this case, the gastrointestinal system, or at least, the abdominal area. Please comment and let us know how you are dealing with this issue and what works/ does not work.
Also, I've been getting a lot of questions and concerns about why I failed to carry my son down the stairs. Thanks for the concern, but to answer in a pinned comment, I've had knee surgeries on both legs. Sometimes I get "dead leg" where one of my knees bends very quickly and I stumble. I didn't want to risk dropping my rather large son. Please understand we care about our son dearly, it had nothing to do with neglect. Thank you.

Poor kid 🙁 I have IBS, I get stomach aches from eating anything. Sometimes it’s bearable, other times it literally feels like my insides are disintegrating ☹️ can’t imagine how he must feel. Hope y’all feel better these days ✌🏻

I saw this back in 2017 not knowing what that pain felt like. By the ending of 2017 I was a my friends house down the street from me. I started walking home and got a bad stomach ache out of nowhere and collapsed on the ground crying in pain. I got rushed to the hospital with serous medications. The pain was undescribed and I feel so bad for this kid.

Being a adult with autism this is something that I experienced as a kid and I still do. It’s hard to explain what exactly it is.

❤❤❤. I feel your pain. My son went thru a week crying all night and day. We took him to urgent care and they had to look at his stomach. My son was not able to speak so he would cry and scream. He was constipated and then develop a burping which the doctor say it acid reflex. Too many things go wrong with this disorder. I pray and hope that he both our kids get better. ❤❤

Growing up with autism was a challenger for me anytime I had a break down sometimes I didn’t know why my parents didn’t understand either I’m 22 now and I still don’t think they understand the fact that these parents don’t but at every sympathetic warms my heart

God I'm glad I have ADHD which actually helps me out a lot with everything I do.
I really hope this kid feels better, I've experienced period pains before, which couldn't possibly be like this kid's pain though. I hope he lives a long happy life. Nobody deserves stomach pain like this. ❤❤❤

poor thing, i wanna hug the guy. i got autism too. I usually put specific fibre suplements into my meals. so I can prevent this. its not perfect, but it helps. Also, imagine, besides the pain, imagine how this is proccesed in his brain. he is confused and the pain is probably amplified by anxiety. gee, i wanna hug him. poor thing. Im litteraly crying while watching. ppl often forget that autism but also things like ADHD are genetic. and genes dont just affect one thing. the autism gene might also affect the gut system as being proven over and over again. The parrents are the sweetest of the sweetest. as im saying im loosing it. my parents aint that bad. but in the 90s this wasnt known. i take omeprazol daily now because of this. tell you boy hes not overreacting. the "catfish" part is the sweetest and cutest. When its over, IT IS OVER. and life is about what you like and enjoy. May the gods protect this lil cutie...
