What are the best techniques on How To Read a Script Without Sounding Scripted?

With my years of experience doing tons of presentations, having agents do thousands of telephone calls AND my theatre and film training, I’ve put together some practical and ACTIONABLE advice on how to make sure you are not sounding scripted.

Do you fear that you sound too scripted either on stage, on a webinar? Or your staff sounds scripted on the phone.

Not to worry, I go through tips and tricks on how to read a script without sounding scripted. Let me know if you implemented any of these and how it worked out for you.

Also interesting, I found PPT Mirror tool to convert Powerpoint slides into teleprompter software, so I use bullet points structure to keep my conversation on target to avoid over-scripting myself out completely because I always have my whole concept in front of camera, and I don't read word-for-word. Hey Tom, when i have videos that i have to out very specific information, i use a teleprompter. The only way to do it without sounding scripted is to practice, practice practice first. The more times you say it the better, then i capitalize words in the script that i want to emphasize, and use symbols for pauses. Larry
