Gordon Moore, one of the founders of Intel, made an observation back in 1965 that every two years the number of transistors that could be put on an integrated circuit would double. This observation came to be known as Moores Law and it has proven to be very reliable over the decades since its publication with transistors doubling roughly every two years . But if we look at our current computing power via Computer science and compare it to where we were just ten years ago we can see that this exponential growth will eventually come to an end, or so we believe. Will the end of Moores Law mean the end of exponential growth in computing?
