Intro to Adobe Animate CC 2018 [1/4] | Tutorial

Perfect timing! We have to do a school project in Flash/Animate CC, but the teacher doesn't know anything about the program and we have to learn it by ourselves. This is very easy to follow and well-explained. Haven't watched your first try, but this one really saved me. It's a good introduction to the program, thanks a lot ! :)

For those struggling with the shape hints:


Try place one on the top of the shape and one on the bottom rather than both on the bottom edge.


 If neither work, just play with the a shape hint, with onion skin turned on and move it to different areas of the shape until the animation changes. Then add another and keep playing.

It's an annoying process but when it clicks, it is satisfying. Keep at it.

Funny enough, I watched the older tutorial fairly recently and found it tough to follow for a beginner. I'm just learning how to work with Animate CC and this new tutorial is much better. You've actually explained it better than my instructor. Appreciate your effort. Cheers mate!

0:32 if you put the speed on .25 and stop and play the fastest you can you may see what he put on the screen (Someone: "I dont get it" Someone else: "CRAP")

I've seen a tutorial from a guy who manages to get the keys he uses to show up on screen, so the viewer can follow along when he uses specific commands - that would be super good for this as well, as it is really helpful to understand the general commands for this workspace. Really great tutorial btw! :)

You should narrate audio-books. Someone said whenever you say "okay?" it makes them feel safe and warm and I have to agree. Your voice do be soothing. I wouldnt mind you lulling me to sleep whilst listening to your audio-books

Creating a new document for animation at a bout 6minutes; it does matter what type you choose. You should choose actionscript 3 even if you don´t want to use any code because you get access to much more drawing tools and effects that doesn´t work in "HTML5". You can export to other formats like video, GIF, PING sequence etc from actionscript document. You can also convert it later to canvas or other document formats if you see the need. But for animation, start with actionscript document to have access to the most effects and drawing tools in Animate CC, even if you are not making swf or using code.
