i think the best way to start these tutorials is to show by doing. as a beginner, trying to remember all the tools, ui, layouts and menu options can be overwhelming. at least for me, its good to just jump in with a small project and learn some key tools and basic systems, then progress by building upon that knowledge with more complex tutorials. i personally tend to lose interest if the material feels a bit too heavy w/o seeing how they work in reality. it's one thing to speak to a person about a tool, but its quite another to have them follow along with the same process so they can utilize that knowledge immediately.
