How To Disable Roaming On Android

In this video, I show you how to disable the roaming feature on your Android phone. Not only can roaming rack up the charges on your phone bill, but if your phone is constantly switching to and from a roaming network, it can also take a toll on your battery life.

Disabling roaming is pretty easy to do. Simply go to your phone's settings, tap on wireless & networks, and go to mobile networks. From here, you'll be able to un-check the data roaming option.

Hi, I have a problem with this. I have the roaming turned off just like this video shows but I was still billed for it for some reason (I don't even know if I used it or not since I thought it was disabled in the first place). Althought it wasn't a very large ammount of money, I'm not the person paying the bills so it's problematic that I don't have control over my own phone. Is there anything else I can do (in phone use or settings) to ensure that the roaming is completely turned off?

My phone has no new updates, I have no 4g, and my phone has been stuck on roaming for months now ever since I moved from the states. I've tried so hard to fixed it but it will not and the roaming button on my phone is greyed out, what do I do!? I've tried everything at this point and nothing works. This only turns off data roaming. In 2024 i cannot find a way in Android to turn off ALL roaming.
