For the technical people: By average person I was implying anyone that considers themself a runner. This is the average time for male and female. In the past like around 1986 or so the average time was around 3:55 ish becuase back then there weren't as many people running marathons just to complete them or recreationaly. Also, the 0.01% doesn't necessarily make sense but it's what most cites/people say so idk

One of the more honest marathon video's out there. Thanks and keep up the good work! Oh and practise with your marathon gels beforehand ;)

Great video, appreciate your story telling and you explaining your fitness background (awesome to frame it, too many other people come off like they do couch-to-marathon which is not fair or relatable!) this running thing is hard and you do hard things (with a kickass time to boot!). Keep up the great running and videos….you’ve got a little fan in your family that’ll be taking notes of their dad (& mom!) as two great role models. Cheers!

Don't know how i get to this video, but it was really inspiring!! I'm up for my first marathon next june and also want to finish under 4 hours.
Big hug from Brazil! Great video!!

I just wanna point out that at 2:01 you see a runner wearing a pair of saucony ride 14s...the fact that he can run a marathon in those firm and not very soft shoes is amazing lol

Job well done bro. Running the sub 4 hours is the holy grail in my books. You looked strong and poised throughout the video. It paid off, congrats.

I really like your attitude toward training! 500miles is really nice.
Idk why but there is a trend of "running a marathon without training" among some big ytbers, which will get you a guaranteed injury/ trip to the hospital or not finishing it. Keep the progress up!

Thank you Relly ! Inspiring video and great work. You got your reward of hard training. I did also cry in one 92k ultra marathon in the end.
Totally ecstatic for making it ! I was so pround as you should !

Great video man - you've gained a subscriber out of me. I'm currently training for my first 26.2 in October and this video really gave some much needed inspiration. I want it and I will do it - just gotta keep pushing!!

hey Relly great job on the marathon! I ran the myrtle beach marathon also, it always seems to be very very warm and humid on myrtle beach race day. Humidity makes a huge huge diff in marathon finish times. Only marathon I never hit the was was Charlotte marathon because it was 30 degrees . Myrtle beach always seems to be warm and muggy tough conditions for 26 miles!

Great video. I'm 24 days away from the DE marathon. This is going to be my 2nd one - Philly was my first this November. And you are so right - mile 17 yup..and then those last 6 miles feel like 26 miles 😂

Nicely done man, you crushed it considering sub 4 was the ambitious target. I had a similar experience 2 weeks ago, amazing feeling!

NICE! That's a HUGE PR! I'm still at the 4:47 range, but my second attempt was almost an hour faster than the FIRST attempt haha. Next time I run I'd like to have enough training under my belt to run something close to 4 hours. It'll probably take me at least a year to get there. Good JOB Buddy!!
