Choosing Death Valley for a marathon is some serious dedication to not warming up.

Wow when Magnus said: "It's not impossible. Just depends on how stubborn you are", I think we all knew he was going to finish. What an incredible way of thinking.

You’re a machine Magnus! Can’t believe you can run so far in such heat with no training….. Great work on this challenge 🔥

As someone who grew up a soccer player in Texas, I think Magnus talking about heat stroke as this mythical thing he’s never heard of was one of the most Norwegian things I’ve ever heard 😂 Props on the incredible achievement! Absolutely wild!

I won't lie. I chuckled a little when you said "apparently, heat stroke is a real thing". Growing up in Texas, I didn't even consider or think about people not accustomed to the heat.

Maybe you felt like the idea wasn’t good but the movie and storytelling is amazing!💪🔥 happy to see you finished your sauna marathon!🔥🔥🔥

If you want to feel runners high, the trick is to watch your favourite YouTuber run a marathon in death valley, while you sit on the couch with a chocolate croissant and your dog sleeping beside you.
Not gonna lie, it feels pretty great. 😁
Well done Magnus. Cant wait for the next video.

Having the video be 26:33 minutes long is such a nice detail, each minute of video is one mile of running, well done magnus

Respect Magnus. As somebody who runs ultras regularly I can say that running a marathon with no real running training in Death Valley is a great achievement. Also you can tell everybody that your first marathon was in one the least hospitable places on Earth. Kudos to you sir.

Heyyy I hope you read this for your knees:
I'm a dancer and have seen and heard of many different kind of injuries.. Please be careful because your feet and knees are not properly aligned when you run. Your toes point away from the center of your body while your knees just point forward normally. Unfortunately this comes from the fact that in climbing shoes your toes get pushed together very tightly so most prominently your big toe and your small toe don't hold your weight as they normally should. So if you don't actively try to adjust by making sure your feet point forward it's your knees or more precisely your meniscus who pays the toll. Once that one tears it's really unlikely to recover to 100% so... Take good care please <3
(Also toe spacers, barefoot shoes and constant awareness will be able to help you with your knee pain)
Good luck.

Magnus being drunk: _"I wanna run a marathon in Death Valley, great idea, what could go wrong?"_

When you see things like this is when you realize how borderline psychopathic professional athletes are. Plus, Magnus’ tolerance for pain and discomfort is just astounding.

Dude runs a marathon in the hottest place on earth while inspiring and entertaining us at the same time. What a legend :)

Your running partner has so much love! He really kept your spirits up. I remember once complaining to my 98 year old grandmother that I was getting old (in my 40's at the time). She said I was just a baby. She used to walk several miles a day even in her 90s and lived to be 104.

We surely all want a video about how you felt after and your recovery. What you did is insane!

As a life long climber, I could never be more proud of what you've done for the climbing world and I thank you.

Magnus, this is so inspirational. I'm about 40 lbs over weight and seeing you do something you haven't trained for is massive motivation for me to start trying

I'm waiting for Goggins to run past, wrapped in garbage bags for extra heat, screaming "STAY HARD!"

I’m a distance runner and this is one of the most impressive feats I’ve seen. He’s carrying so much muscle mass too. Poor shoes for running plus the heat and uncalloused feet. So tough
