Have you ever looked inside the PS5 display model at Best Buy? There is something different about it.

They do this with most demo models at stores. I work at target and when people get upset that I can’t sell them display models I explain to them that the models themselves have no internals and are only a chassis.

I mean it makes sense that they are not going to stick a $500 system on display. I would suspect it's Sony sending them the outer shells only as a display only model.
