Im 50 years old. I’m amazed at how many people do not know the Bible.
I’m amazed at how many people that have never even heard of the stories of the Bible. It’s heart breaking to me.

What a lovely story.
I especially like the part where God opens the windows of Heaven.
Another favourite story of mine is "Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar".
It's a really page-turner.

Heavenly father, I bind the word of genesis 7:11 and john 4:10, 2 corinthians 4:7 in my life and the lives of my opponents at all times for the floodgates of Heaven to open with sources of living water and clean up the dirt in order to become an earthen vessel in which the power of God can manifest, loosening all power in our earthen vessels that does not come from God upon no return in my life, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

I really liked this and am just sorry we cannot include it in our archaeology Page. Still, I urge you to keep up the excellent work.

Thank you. Appreciate the scholarship. Watershed humor. Figured variation due to oral history being embellished. 600yrs old, covering mountains and all not on the ark dying? Hyperbole of many centuries.

David, a very succinct summary of the documentary hypothesis as it applies to Genesis 7. Have you read any of Moshe Kline's work on the Torah? Worth checking out his web site at chaver.com. If you look at his view of the Structured Torah, you can see there may well be literary reasons for the text being as it is. For instance, the use of YHVH and God are separated by the parallelism of the pericopes into two columns. I think there is much to consider here, but worth adding Kline's work to your thinking.
