Moray eel hunting

Final dive of last summer and I forgot to bring snorkel :) but I finally found moray eel and it escaped me twice into the sea weed, almost gave up on her :)

You don't joke around with Moray eels. God forbid it bites you. Easy way to lose your finger.

If I speargun a Fish, I'll give it a fine cut through the gills or jam the knife between the eyes into the brain so the fish dies soon and as painless as possible. How do you do this with moray eels? Do you just leave it to die on the surface or do you also fast kill it? ...you shot it twice here in the video, I assume that this is not your normal procedure or do you try to shoot it as many times until it is dead?

Visit malta and you will see one every 10-40 metres in rocky areas. They are very aggressive sea creatures. İ dont know wheter to shoot one or not.
