Amazon Fire HD 8 10th Gen Unboxing and Review - Still a Good Tablet in 2021?

I recently review the Amazon Fire HD 10 that came out in May of 2020. After posting that review, I received a few requests asking me to review the Amazon Fire HD 8 and compare it to the HD 10.

So, I picked one up and tested it out for a few weeks. After my testing was over, I was left conflicted as to which one I liked more.

The Fire HD 10 has a bigger and better screen while the Fire HD 8 is more portable and comfortable to hold for extended periods of time.

Overall, I really enjoy my time with the Fire HD 8 10th Gen and would still recommend it to anyone looking for a good budget tablet in 2021.

Great video review, I just purchased this same exact Fire HD 8 a few day's ago on (Tuesday July 12th 2022) during the Amazon Prime Day Sale. I got the 32GB in the Twilight Blue color for only $44.99 during the Sale. I also have the latest Fire HD 10 and the previous Fire HD 7. I personally love the Amazon Fire HD tablets and for only $44.99 for the latest model HD 8 was a must have for me.

As a 3 year old Amazon 8 inch 10th gen user I would say it's good even in its 3 year old age. I have gotten this for free from a gift haul ( a random surprise gift) and I've been very gentle and sometimes rough but it never disappointed me. Yes it sucks on camera but the performance was really decent-good. I don't think nobody heard this but these tablets can last for years before the battery goes bad one day. I've done tests after 35 months and I barely notice battery drains. For comparison on the first day it lasted 13 HOURS and sometimes 8 with gaming and social media compared to now it's 12 HOURS and 7 hours. Amazon is a W get one yourself

I got this to replace an old portable DVD player for a trip and it’s awesome, I downloaded a couple of shows and movies and it lasted most of the drive

I do alot of hospital duty and traveling so this works as my travel tablet, plus it's small enough to fit in my bag without taking up space.

Awesome review. I just picked one up from a box store for $45 to replace my xoom. @@ I wish I had gotten the Fire HD 10, but it was kind of a spur of the moment purchase since the sale was ending that day. So far I'm loving it. My plans are for just using it to read books and watch videos, so nothing super intensive. The next prime day or sale I'm def. going to grab a 10 though. :)

They are only $44 now. Great tablet to be honest, better than my older high end Tab A. Very happy with it.

Honestly, for the retail price I was between this and the Samsung A7 Lite. I just wanted another “smaller” tab to read manga, comics and books in it because my iPad Pro is too bulky.
Decided to go with this one. Gonna be delivered tomorrow :v

£40 at Asda. The Fire 7 is £30. Great for elderly relatives. The Amazon OS is really easy to use.
