The poles are not because it's low but because the soil is to soft to build on. So they used poles to reach a lower layer of sand who can.

The Rijn River doesn't flow into the IJsselmeer, the IJSSEL does. The Rijn flows through Rotterdam into the North sea.

As a dutchie living in a small country, its really fun to see video's like this and reading the comments.

And yes, its a normal thing for us to watch video's about ourselves, we are a tad self-entiteld ;)

American expat to the Netherlands here.
Every time you said Zuid, I actually cringed.
Also, the coffee thing is really true. We have free coffee machines in government buildings, coffee stands at train stations, the university I go to is flooded with those things... Coffee is everywhere.
One more note: Our agriculture is so good, we have some of the cheapest groceries in the world. For instance, I can buy a bag of apples for 3 Euros, a loaf of bread for 1 Euro, and a kilo of chicken for 7 Euros.

I'm from Belize and despite being a Central American/Caribbean country our prefer cheese (other than Happy Cow cheese of Austria) Dutch Cheese (Edem) is our go to cheese that we put on practically any food that normal see other cheese like from pasta to Latin dishes and sometimes on pizza and they are found in or on our traditional breakfast dishes

Another fun fact: We do have delivery services that solely deliver flowers. Also, the Netherlands is home to the largest flower auction in the world, from where flowers, bulbs, vegetables, fruit, and any other kind of plant is sold to buyers all over the world. It is so large, that it has its own internet exchange and a massive datacenter located nearby, to give buyers and sellers the lowest possible latency.

Fun fact: I've seen a lot of people struggle with double vowel sounds

Ui/Uy: I didn't know how to type this, so just look it up in translate xD
IJ/Ei: basically a combination of ‘Hey’ and a short ‘Eye’
Oe: Oo
IE: as ‘ee’ or ‘ea’
Eu: Not sure how to explain this one too
Ou/Au/Ao: ‘ow’
Ee: ‘a’
Oo: ‘oh’
Aa: ‘ah’
Uu: like ‘ou’ in a weird Scottish ‘you’

II is not possible, you'd use ‘IE’

Now triples:

IEUW: ‘ew’ the w is just used because why not.
Eeuw: like a long ‘ew’, same use of w
Ooi: Just like ‘oi’
Aai: ‘Eye’
Eau: ‘oh’

This may help with your pronunciation
