The Last Pink - Rain World Animation

In this Rain World animation we follow the last remaining pink lizards, Rose and her goofy baby, Bonk. The world has changed. It got colder. The strongest have adapted to the new environment. The weakest have gone extinct. What pushes a lizard to keep going during such difficult times? How does a lizard fend against a world full of bigger predators? Can't tell you... Enjoy the animation!

So! Here it is! The culmination of 8 months of work (probably 7 of actual work, I got lazy somewhere in the middle there lol). Seriously thank you all for your patience, it means the world to me ♥.

i had to watch the part where baby pink lost his eye so many times before i realized it wasn’t the caramel, infact, the caramel lizard looked really worried.

I adore the detail that the pink lizard almost transformed into an echo after brutalizing on Saint and it took it seeing its baby to not do it, a shame Artificer didn't have the same luck.

God, I love the portrayal of Saint here, and how the ancients fixation on ascension only led to suffering. He's the final product of their work, and he's the antagonist here. I would love to discuss ascension and how sad the whole world of rain world makes me when I actually think about it, but this animation is great and doesn't need my ramble on it.

I like how you can see just how bad the “preforming an ascension” attack actually is when you see how easily it gets countered by being attacked

I love the ending scene with saint, so much. The way i interpret it is that when saint sees Rose mourning her baby, his sympathy for the mother just refuses to let him die before the job is done so that the lizards wont be separated; locking his karma in a similar way to how artificer's karma is locked by rage. I'm probably getting a little too deep into it here, but it felt like it was showing in more detail exactly why saint can't ascend.

Saint longs to end all suffering, and in doing so causes it to those he misses. Because the ones who don’t ascend morn the ones who do.
Saint is the most moral character you can get in fiction that has a goal of ending all life.

absolutely amazing. absolutely pink. i do not know what that white powdery stuff is everywhere. is it dust. and i do not know what i was seeing there at the end. i wonder what that was. i am glad that this pink lizard killed that green slugcat. they do our species proud - we are not afraid of anything. very brave.

I just found out about this game, gave it a try and then wanted to see how the community is like. First thing I see about this game, this animation. This made me cry for the last 3 days inside of me, but now that I understand a bit of the lore, ik that what Saint did to the 2 lizards, is the best way they could have ever died, them being free from the cycle of life and death. True art right here.

I'm providing a comment for the algorithm gods. I've already watched this a few times and it's quickly growing as one of my all time favorite youtube animations. The pinks are adorably expressive, the miros vulture is absolutely awesome, and I love the depiction of saint being so eerily cold and calculated.
