Hi Robin Thanks for this one, I’ve been doing these for about 15years and was fascinated by your moves and thinking, it occurred to me that you were doing the puzzle in a very similar manner to how I have evolved in my puzzle completion. Hello Sudoku Guy! 😊 Found your video when looking into sudoku techniques. I have been playing sudoku for a while now including physical copies and websites/apps. I have been working through some spiral bound puzzles (Brain Games) and noticed I can get through levels 1-3, but then 4 I can only finish about half and then level 5 is just a disaster! So I wanted to challenge myself to learn techniques to try to finish the whole book! Your teaching and enthusiasm makes your video a delight to watch and breezes by! I especially had an eye opening realization with finally understanding the XY Wing technique when shown in a puzzle we’ve come to know and love (haha). I also realized that doing sudoku on a whiteboard would be amazing.

Months back did I solve this puzzle for the first time when there was no Corona, but there was this type of sudokus for which I would often get the jitters. Now these puzzles could, no longer, scare me ; rather they challenge me always to get into a cerebral fight with them. That is why I took up this puzzle again, but was forced to traverse an almost different course where the configuration of the numbers took such a turn that the XY wings didn't have any scope to play its role. In any case, I found the solution quite interesting this time too.

I did the puzzle myself without following you. I was jammed up until I found the pivot in R1C7. Then it all came together. I got satisfaction seeing you finding the same pivot - and you did the rest quickly. You found the pivot quickly. Took me awhile.

Earlier I used to find sudoku quite complicated and couldn't even understand its pattern then I started looking up for sudoku videos which were a disaster in explanation but thanks to YouTube and the sudoku guy that I luckily came across your channel you are an excellent teacher earlier it used to take me 2-3 hours to solve a puzzle but thanks to your tutorials now I am able to solve them in an hour.
