I've never liked accuracy in general in an action rpg. If the attack or spell visual comes in contact it should do damage. We're not talking about a cRPG where it's slower, and there are 'abstractions' in the form of rolls that determine things like that. It's an action RPG, if you hit, you should hit, if the enemy moved out of the way, then it should be a miss.

The way Far Reach is worded makes me wonder if “At Range” will just be a set distance where accuracy is reduced by a set amount, instead of scaling with distance.

We are getting so close. As excited as I am, I do have this sense of dread about some portion of the POE 1 player base not giving the differences a chance to settle before losing their shit & trying to make POE 2 POE 1.

In PoE2 they are simplifying spell and attack by making block and evade work on both because they are just hits now. Does this apply to accuracy? Will we need to get accuracy for our spells?

I refuse to invest in accuracy on my MERCENARY. Sheer number of bullets i mean bolts shall overcome all.

If monster size and actual speed are taken into account for how much accuracy is needed + proximity of enemy to player then I’ll be happy. Makes no sense to need more accuracy for stuff right in front of you and especially if they huge size and slow.

Tbh arrows are easier to hit than axes. Almost all bosses are gigantic, and arrows usually easy to hit at 30m. And arrows are fast REALLY fast.

I am incredibly sad that accuracy will be in PoE2.
It always feels bad in games where you can miss by aiming incorrectly or getting the distance wrong, to be able to get that right and miss anyway. Having to invest in it feels like paying the mafia not to smash up your store and makes me resentful of the stat instead of appreciative.
Doesn't help that it's tied to my favorite (thematically) stat, either.

Resolute technique downside seems kind absurd for poe 2 perspective? Given that melee now requires waay less accuracy than any ranged character. Unless they have a lot more rolling magma style melee builds.

Do spells need accuracy? I remember 4 years ago they said in the announcement of POE2 - spells need accuracy. What about now?

Is that clear now how distance comtribute to accuracy rate? I am always confused about the accuracy value and accuracy rate (the same as evasion)

Since spell hits and attack hits are treated the same for defenses(?), wondering if accuracy gets into a weird spot
