Seriously, everyone is polite and humble, but once they are on a bike, they turn into godless anarchists.

As much as I hate crowded sweaty trains, the ability to get literally anywhere in the country is amazing. Going to the next town over in Canada where I lived is a 80 minute car ride across empty land. Everyone's kinda city locked back home haha

The reason they don‘t take the next train is that they most likely have a connecting train to catch😅

No fruits would drive me crazy at some point even though I don't eat that much of them

Don‘t buy food from supermarkets. Look for small corner stores in living areas from obachans oder ojiisans. Great value!

I’m Japanese Brazilian and recently been thinking about moving to Japan, reconnecting with the country I was born in and also where my family came from etc - also quality of life
But I will say, not having “cheap” GOOD fruit year round will make me miss home, we got so much variety here in Brazil 🥲🥲

Visiting Tokyo I was gifted with a box of fruit.
The grapes were literally the size of tangerines. Amazing fruit

My claustrophobia kicked in just watching the train clips lol

The more I learn about Japan, the more I realize that Japan is a wonderful place to visit, not necessarily a wonderful place to work and live.

I love watching these kinds of videos showing different cultures ❤

Yes, public transport was so hot for some reason

one of the features i love most about Japan is that it doesn't aggressively force me to use a car. I hate cars and car dependancy. I live in an area that has so little transit, people don't even know it exists, and to live in a country that prioritizes public transit both at the local level and nationwide is a dream of mine.

I get that fruits are given as gifts but also like... sell the fruits that arent perfect 😭 theyre probably better than in the US at the very least, even when not perfect. Just more affordable for casual eating lol

The buses in Kyoto was my first experience of cramming in to the point where you can barely move. And then you’re somehow expected to make your way up to the front to pay.

A common rule where I live regardless if you are on bike or on foot is to keep to your right when you encounter other people on the sidewalk or trail.

The grass is always greener… Japan is an amazing place to live.

No raspberries???? Absolutely devastating. A good raspberry compote takes little effort to make and goes perfect on breakfast breads and desserts. A raspberry-less life is a sad life.
