I’ve never had a Sigma that could focus as fast as a Canon

Canon RF 100-500 for sure. Native is the way to go and the light weight is great.

RF 100-500
I think it’s amazing how they made it so lightweight. Not to mention how insanely sharp that lens is. And before people complain about it being F 7.1 just remember that 6.3 - 7.1 is only a third of a stop faster. But you get a
sharper faster lighter lens. With blazing auto focus and class leading image stabilization. With static targets you can use as slows as 1/200 of a second with good technique.

SIgma 60-660.
Had it with my 7D2 and kept using it with the adapters. The extra range on the wide end is beneficial to what I shoot and I like the ability to use drop in filters through the adapters for when I was to video slow motion with wildlife or prop planes. Other than the 80% focus area, I've noted only slight difference in the focus speed as compared to the RF100-500. With the Sigma being a Sport lens, it doesn't suffer with focusing as I have seen with the Sigma Contemporary line offerings

RF 100-500 all day long. The autofocus on the RF can't be matched by a 3rd party lens. I have both the RF 100-500 and Sigma 150-600C. No contest. However, the Sigma is a lot of bang for the buck.

I’ve got the canon 100-500. It’s one of the best lenses I’ve ever owned

Had a 60-600 sport, changed to an R6ii camera and use the RF 100-500 now. No regrets on loosing the bit of range as the mirrorless camera is far superior to start with.

I made my trip at the land of Sigma and my choice is definitely the RF100-500

Sigma 60-600 for me. Third Party lenses got my career started for me, and I have no plans in the close future to go native

Just sold my Sigma 150-600, my first non-Canon lens in a long time. VERY disappointed with it. Picked up a 100-500L last week and couldn't be happier!

I'm not even in Canon and for sure I'd choose the Canon native lens over the Sigma.

That Sigma lens was designed for DSLR’s and can’t hold a candle the RF 100-500mm.

Canon hands down. Sigma lags behind significantly in autofocus accuracy and probably has worse image stabilization and is a little less sharp. Also the canon lens has a much closer mfd at the telephoto end which is very nice for other things such as bugs or amphibians.

Returned my Sigma 150-600 C after it was slower to focus than my 20 year old 100-400 L. Immediately bought the RF 100-500 with no regrets. Faster, sharper, lighter, smaller. No chance I'd buy a Sigma 60-600

Canon for sure. Own both sigma and rf 100 500 and the latter is super sharp

Sigma is for people who can’t afford Canon, there’s no argument about which one is better.

Canon! I had the Tamron 150-600mm G2, but swapped it for the Canon.
