When I started in filmmaking and photography, I remember family saying in different words "maybe just get a real job."

7 years ago when I was determined to go full-time in filmmaking and photography it was still pretty unconventional and hard for my family to wrap their mind around.

Getting a "real" job is all they had known. Conventional jobs.

So a filmmaking and photography pursuit was scary for them.

I started a photography and videography business right out of high school. My dad repeatedly mocked what I did and said I was only “playing” and needed to get “a real job.” Fast forward 9 years later, I now make 4X more than he ever did and I may be the only child able to financially help take care of him in his old age. He recently retired and moved out of state. Before he left, he hugged me while crying and said “I am proud of you, and I am proud of your business.”

Very well said, I picked up camera in 2014 while being a brilliant accounts student, everyone said me but somehow my parents said okay let him do what he wants for a few years. And here we are I'm also a full time media guy. Have an amazing day dude, fantastic video.

dope video man really remember when I had conversation with my dad on becoming a filmmaker as career, and how my dad was afraid of the outcome of my future and I remember telling him I will show him 😂 I am not making thousands from my videos yet but I am seeing that everything is going workout in the end.
