I didn’t even try for my tsuchinoko. I wanted to look for it, but the nature of the Siege discourages thorough exploration; even if you ignored Kulve Taroth, she’ll get bored and leave the area and send your ass back to base. So during my latest crack at the siege, I began loading the “main” cannon (you know, the one that sits at the major “intersection” of the tunnel system), when all the sudden good ol’ burrito snake comes crawling out from the pile of equipment behind the cannon! Three seconds later: POOF! He’s mine!

I'm hoping the Tsuchinoko is a direct reference to Metal Gear, since it's in those games too. Maybe a future MGS collab again, like in Peace Walker?

When I captured my tsuchinoko I initially thought it was a flat weasel of some sort.

I just caught a tsuchinoko yesterday. I had no idea what it was. I was talking to my boyfriend and i was like “there was a flat squirrel running around”

There is also a ledge that seems to be often overlooked, that is next to the mining nodes up top. At 3:48, you can see the ledge at the top left of the screen. I have obtained a bunch of Tsuchinoko's there myself. The platform with the mining nodes though, I have caught the Tsuchinoko there twice, and neither time needed me to mine the ore. Both times, it spawned in that opening next to the first mining node TagBackTV mined, and came running out.

I’ve only seen one tsuchinoko so far and it was a complete accident. I was loading a cannon and saw this little thing scurrying around me and was like, ”oh! I wonder if I can catch that.”. I caught it, and have yet to place it in my room.

The best possible way to get a tsuchinoko is around the cannons. I've already caught about 12 of them that way.
