"Your time costs me nothing". The real reason parents have kids 😂

There is a family story from ages ago about how my mother resisted getting a dishwasher for the same reasons as the mother in the video. Until one day my father calculated the rate of 'pay' in terms of the cost savings of hand washing. Once my mother learned that hand washing was equivalent to working for a few cents an hour, they promptly bought a dishwasher.

"We don't need to get a dishwasher for you are the dishwasher"

Actually a YouTuber called technology connections made a video about how they're much cleaner and use even less water than handwashing, so the electric cost is negligible compared to your water saving and how its much cleaner with much hotter water for full sanitation

All mom's arguments: "I can wash better!"
Also mom: "I don't wash dishes, you do it!"

It’s actually so much cheaper cleaner and better for the environment to run the dishwasher. So much so that you can run it multiple times compared to handwashing

First thing my parents did when I left home for my studies: buying a dishwasher. I was the one washing the dishes since I was 7!
Before my older brother left they used to say "we don't have the need we are only 4!", then "We don't have the need we are only 3!" then I left and somehow, they felt the need while being 2... 😅

The sad part is that dishwashers actually save water and electricity

My Japanese father in law decided that a dishwasher was a good idea after washing dishes from a meal for six people by hand in a sink that can only fit about a third of them at a time. He even paid for it himself! 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍

“get back to work, do the dishes!” made me laugh so hard 😭✌

There were seven kids in my family so my parents’ number one argument when we begged for a dishwasher was, “Why? We have seven perfectly good ones at home.” 😭😂

Since my dish washer broke years ago, every time I wanna buy a new one I hear a voice in my head that lists the exact same arguments like your mom did and I keep washing the dishes per hand :.D

I had to convince my viet-american in laws to get a dishwasher. nothing worked until I broke it down financially. she said it taught grandchildren responsibility! I said it costs $2 of water vs $8 of water (in California), she finally got one. loves the plate heater too!

Dishwashers are actually more sanitary than hand washing and use less water.

I recently read in an article that dishwashing does a better job sanitizing dishes than dishwashing by hand.
