Epic stuff as always. Interestingly, my surgery AP used to say "teaching is twice learning".

dude this is so true, i love making notes, i always have, its like i am tutoring my younger self and i personalize the hell out of those notes, go deep into it, give examples and then i throw them out. Because to remember that concept now i just need to see the notes that i Took and that reminds me about the notes that i made at that time.

My opinion on making notes
Making notes means you are compressing information or encrypting it and you know right key for encryption that's why when you just read one word in your notes amd then you can imagine the whole conept .Bcz that word is the key of encryption.
From this video
1)the more loops you associate with memory more chances to remember it.

41:00 Wow! That's how I studied, back in school! Teach imaginary students. I thought this was so stupid but it did help! Super! Relative study helps too. I remember relating historical figures to people in my life who have the same qualities. It helped a lot.

This is by far the best learning video I have come across. I'm a PhD student and kinda embarrassed that I didn't know the difference between note making and note taking 🤐

I feel like sharing my way of learning if it helps anyone. I tend to visualize what the professor is saying (like actually make up images in my head to make sense) during the lecture, and that goes a long way because it somehow I am able to recall those made up images more quickly and have to revise very little.

A problem that I face though is anxiety associated with exams. Like I freeze sometimes and although I am able to explain everything perfectly to my peers, I suck at getting good grades. Sid, watching your videos have given me a lot of confidence in that I need to keep faith in my brain. It knows everything and merely by trying hard to take control (as if my brain is against me) has made things worse it seems.

Thank you, thank you very much! And thanks to Tanmay too for introducing you. I've been binging your streams on both of yours channels before sleeping.😅

TLDR: Didn't know the difference between note making and note taking. Visualizing what prof says during lecture is my learning hack. Trying hard to take control of my brain as if it's against me has caused hindrance in doing well on exams.
