Commuting 2 Hours Each Way is Not a Way to Live

Here's something you didn't know about me My commute used to be hellish. 2 hours each way. When I was 23 years old, I used to get up at 5am, wear a suit, and catch a 6am train into New York City. When I reached New York City I then had to take 2 subways to get to the World Trade Center.

After the subway it was another 5-10 minute walk to get to the elevator that would take me to the 81st Floor. I started cold calling at 8am and didn't leave until 6pm.

Didn't get home until at least 8pm, went to the gym, had dinner, in bed by 10-11pm. Woke up the next day, did it all again.

That job lasted all of 8 weeks. P.S. I quit my job about a month before 9/11. That's an entirely different story.

My commute today?

Get out of bed. Put on no clothes but my boxers, head down to my home office, and that's that. The point is this. I've BEEN THERE. The question is, how did I get HERE?

If you want to find out how and are in a similar situation, DM me or reach out in the comments and we'll talk about it.

Oh my god I'm in the same situation! I got an internship for 6 months that's 45 minutes of driving my motorbike to the station + 1 hour and 15 minute of train ride 😢😢
