The Day Israel Attacked America, USS Liberty #shorts all you need to know

On June 8th 1964, Israel deliberately attacked an American intelligence ship, the USS liberty. At about 2 pm that day, 2 Israeli Mirage 3s attacked the liberty with canon and rockets, and just few minutes later, 2 mystères dropped nay palm bombs due to which ship caught fire, and then at 2:35 PM, Israeli torpedo motor boats fired 5 torpedoes, out of which 1 struck. This attack killed 34 Sailors, and wounded 171 others. Israel apologized, saying it mistakenly thought that the USS liberty was an Egyptian ship, but survivors of this tragedy rejected the Israeli statement, and claimed that the attack was on purpose, and they were right! Because Israelis first identified the Liberty as a U.S ship at about 5:15 AM that morning. 7 other reconnaissance flights also confirmed the identity of Liberty. During attack, the ship attempted to contact the 6th fleet, but Israelis were jamming their distress frequencies. According to victims, a huge American flag was waving at the top of the ship, so there was no chance of any mistake. To this day, Washington is completely silent on this incident.

They wanted to sink the ship and blame it on Egypt to justify their war, but the plan failed since some ship crews survived as witnesses.

What this video didn't mention:

- Israel's first claim was that Egypt had attacked the Liberty and this prompted the US to launch planes to nuke Cairo, but were called back. Israel then changed their claim, that it was them who attacked the liberty but they thought it was an Egyptian ship


- After attacking the boat, Israeli boats began machine-gunning survivors trying to get on life rafts (War crime regardless of the origins of it's ship and crew)

- Survivors were put under a gag order and the US naval investigation into the incident was rushed by John McCain's father: Admiral John McCain Sr. What should've taken many months to conclude an investigation, it was over within a week.

Vietnam didn't attack a US ship, no one hurt and the US waged a war upon them, where they lost millions of people. Israel attacks a US ship and murders US servicemen ..deliberately. And they get financial aid.

If the Israelis can murder US soldiers & steal via espionage the tech/material to develop the most destructive weapon: nuclear weapons, with impunity. What can't they do?

The Israelis were acting on the request of LBJ. The intention was to blame the sinking on the Egyptians thereby giving the US pretext for bombing the Egyptian airbase. The Soviets were monitoring the whole incident and told the US that if they attacked the Egyptian bases, they would destroy the naval fleet with ICBM's that they had targeted and ready.
