My Mom played these Goodyear Christmas albums when I was a child. I forgot about them until several years ago. She gave them to me. I love playing them. Now I can listen to them anywhere!

I was born November 1963 and music from this era deeply resonates with me probably because it was what I heard as a young kid in the 60s...My Grandparents had many of these Christmas records. We will never know most of these singers who sang in these great choral groups on these records. One of the most played Christmas songs in the late 60s and 70s was "We Need a Little Christmas" off the 1967 " Percy Faith His Orchestra & Chorus - Christmas Is" .
Who was that (doubled or tripled) female voice doing those vocals?...

I’m thanking God for the person(s) that put these on YouTube. The memories I have from listening to these albums have calmed my soul during these days of 2020. Memories of my childhood and my Daddy playing these on the record player. Memories of Mom going down to the car dealership to buy them each year. Thank you. God Bless You.

Huge Like! This played in my parents home, and I remover every song! Thank you for gentler, softer memories...of a time when God, Family and Country were the priorities. Bless your heart! Lisa

I remember Christmas of ages.Seems every radio station played this music.now not so much.Even as we made trips to our relatives, Christmas music, now not so much. And evenings we would drive and look at the different light displays.now not so much. But I hold all the good Christmas memories near and dear. All the sights sounds and smells.
But even through all this is the story of Jesus the King, born in a manger.
Dec 26 2022, I just made my 63rd Christmas.

I totally agree! I love this album. My parents played it all December. I loved it 50 years ago

This is the Christmas and the America I remember when people of all stripes and colors came together for Christmas. They were Republicans, Democrats and independents but for the most part we didn't know their politics. After the election was over, we got on with life, and there was pride and joy in being an American and celebrating our holy days. Oh God, if we could only go back to being that way again. Thanks to YouTube, we can at least enjoy those times.

Great holiday compilation! The Philadelphia strings are gorgeous on "O Little Town", Julie Andrews offers a tender "Silent Night", Bob Goulet turns in a devout "Panis Angelicus", and the rest of the artists and ensembles perform magnificently.

I don't know how he gets these albums to sound so good, compared to my scratched up record.

Thank you for posting this, I grew up listening to it every year, and still have my vinyl album but no phonograph <3

In1963 my dad was a mechanic at a Shell garage in a small, western town that among other products, sold Goodyear tires. He brought this album home with him that December and he and my mom played it on the sort of phonograph common at the time, the kind that had multiple turntable speeds. Now when they had been younger, popular records played at 78 rpm, so that is what they had the phonograph set at. Like a lot of men his age and at that time, it was common for my dad to get a bit drunk on Friday nights, after work and the farm chores were done, while my mother was tone deaf and although she could appreciate rhythm and vocals, she could make no sense of the melody. You can imagine their consternation and confusion when they spun this LP at 78 rpm. "That just doesn't sound right, " my mom was saying and my dad was going on about "that damned Goodyear tire company...." I have no personal recollection of this (I was 5-years old at the time) but apparently my brother (who was a senior in high school) came in from his own evening chores and stood there laughing at their perplexity, before he finally took mercy and adjusted the phonograph to 33 1/3 rpms for them. Just a month short of graduation the next year, he was dead from a car accident.

My mother was able to tell this story with humor and warmth in the memory, but it was four years before my dad brought home another Goodyear Christmas record.

Great music ❤️ of the past that last forever and can’t be replace. The Great entertainers of the day, that can’t be touch by today’s talent, where in most cases, you don’t need much, just a social media following. Merry Christmas in 2020 🍷🎄.

I was about two or three months old when this album hit the shelves (depending upon when Christmas items were placed for sale, back then). I'd love to find a copy of this LP in good condition, either Stereo or Monaural. I have a copy of Album Six that was given me at age six, which I cherish. These are timeless recordings, in technology and musical performance. Absolutely beautiful. We should preserve them for posterity. ☺

My opinion is that from album 3 to album 8 were the best volumes made especially from Vol. 4 onwards.
