I'm trying to avoid emotional triggers this Christmas because, well, it's all been too much. So why on Earth did I play this?! Crying like a baby!!!! But enjoying every moment and every note. I'm right back in my childhood home, excitedly awaiting Christmas with my family. And this album is on continuous play. The background music of all my childhood Christmases.

Growing up, every December we made the trip to town to the local Goodyear Tire store to buy the newest Christmas album. I learned the words to ALL the Christmas songs! to this day, I decorate my home while listening to the Goodyear and Firestone Christmas albums. Great memories.

I have a copy of this on vinyl. Listening on my own record player is extra special pops and all. It is from a different time. I miss it.

I have a lot of these Albums which were my late father's. I sort of "inherited" them even before he died. I always listened to them, (even if it wasn't Christmas)

Back in the day when everyone wasn't afraid to say "Merry Christmas". Come on folks, let's keep saying "Merry Christmas" until our savior returns!

This time of year brings back some wonderful special memories of family. I miss my dad who passed in 84, my grandparents, aunts and uncles who passed. Wish I could go back in time. Most importantly thank you Jesus for giving me and the world the ultimate gift of eternal life. The best Christmas present is John 3:16-17.

My grandmother had this album. I haven't heard it in years (she died almost 50 years ago), but listening it to it now, it brings back a flood of memories. Thank you!

Frankly, I never really payed attention to the haunting song "Toyland." However, Doris Day, with her beautiful and gentle redition of the song forced me to listen to the lyrics. I was honestly stunned. What a powerful and insightful song. I listened to it twice in a row. Each time it made me tear up. You see, I am a grandfather of three precious grandgirls. Two of them have left "Toyland" never to return. One yet lives within its boundaries and, for her, Christmas is still magical. So quickly (as the song says) the years roll by.

By the way, I think this may be the best "Great Songs of Christmas." It wonderfully recalls a time when American culture was generally less profane.

Thanks so much for making these lost albums available for our listening pleasure! They don't make 'em like that anymore.
